We just got back from an AMAZING trip to Disney World. We spent five nights at the happiest place on earth and I can’t wait to go back! Below is a summary of our great trip and some (ok a LOT) of pictures. Stay tuned for more updates as we will be getting our PhotoPass pictures soon.
Day One: We left super early for our flight but that meant we had extra time at Disney today. After our flights, we headed to our hotel: Port Orleans French Quarter. It was a fun place with a giant pool with a water slide and a cool fountain in the lobby where you could throw coins and make a wish (who needs to wish when you are already in Disney?). After checking in and some lunch, we headed to Magic Kingdom. That place was amazing and already decked out for Christmas (more on that later in the week…). Pluto was right there when we walked in and of course we had to wait in line for our picture with our Pal. Then we headed to our first ride – Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – where you got to shoot the bad guys as you rode thru the space adventure. Then we headed over to meet Ariel and go on her ride. I was a bit nervous but still loved it. Owen got to go on Space Mountain – something he was very excited for. Only Daddy went with him on that one. After some more fun and rides, we headed to dinner with Chef Mickey and his friends where I got to see Pluto again!

Day Two: On our second day we headed to Epcot. We weren’t the only ones as the place was packed for some food and wine festival. We got to travel around the world and go on some fun rides like Under the Sea, a trip thru Mexico and of course, the new Frozen ride which I just LOVED! We had a delicious lunch at the German Biergarten Restaurant.

Day Three: We headed back to Magic Kingdom in the morning and hit up rides like the Haunted Mansion, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which Owen loved. After a morning in the MK, we headed back to the hotel to check out the pool. They had a waterslide that I just loved. There was also a spray section that was fun (but cold). Later, we hopped on a boat and headed to Disney Springs for a yummy dinner at an Irish Pub and some shopping. I got this really cool light up Frozen wand.

Day Four: We started the day off at Hollywood studios. First, we watched a Disney Junior show that featured Mickey and friends, Doc McStuffin, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sofia the First. It was a great show. Then we headed to the Star Wars ride (Owen loved it). We then went to see Muppets 3D and the Great Movie Ride which I did not like at all (too scary). Then we headed to lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. It was a cool place where you sat in pretend cards and watched (B&W) shows while you ate. After lunch we met Olaf (me) and some Star Wars guys (Owen) and one shopping before heading back to Magic Kingdom for a train ride and some fireworks that were amazing!

Day Five: We started the day at Animal Kingdom. We hit up a few rides including the Jungle Safari and Expedition Everest. We also had lunch with the characters at the Tusker House Restaurant. We also ran into Pluto again in Dinosaur Land and had more pictures taken. He loved my Pluto hat! We headed back to the hotel for some rest before our big night at Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! The party was so much fun. There was an amazing light show at the castle and then a parade down main street. I used to watch the Mickey’s Christmas Parade on TV like every day when I was little so this was VERY exciting for me. We finished the night off with some more fireworks. Full disclosure: I fell asleep right after Tinker Bell made her flight from the castle…
